Project Lets Change started in October 2013 to establish necessity for a change in way things are done or are perceived. The first project “Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti Se Sardar Patel Jayanti Tak” was to bring a change in the way “Swachhta Abhiyaan” were done in India. Positive media reports, and a report of the project of October 2013 proving public acceptance, appreciation and support for a long serious activity for “Swachhta” that was given, Gujarat Government announced Mahatma Gandhi Swachhta Mission for Gujarat in early 2014. This announcement fetched tremendous popularity for the erstwhile CM of Gujarat; and later Hon. PM Narendra Modiji, who extended it to to Mission Swachh Bharat in 2014.
Since 2014 many Swachhta Abhiyans have been done throughout the country. Enough awareness is done, practically every person knows benefits of cleanliness and ill-effects of unclean surroundings. However, many areas still look unclean and dirty, yet we still continue with the same kind of Swachhta Abhiyans of spreading awareness, symbolic one day cleaning etc. We are not accepting that uncleanliness is because many are still habituated to careless spitting and littering. It is hence time to again bring a “Change” and do an action-oriented Abhiyan for eradicating the menace of the Habit of Careless Spitting and Littering. PLC Swachhta Monitor is NOT a Swachhta Abhiyan.

Who? – All School Students
Why Them? – Very Rarely Will Anybody React Harshly With A Student
Where & When? – Whenever Carelessness Happens
What Reason? – Because Surroundings Will Look Dirty
Further, #SwachhtaMonitor shall narrate the incidents of stopping somebody for carelessly spitting or littering on video; and post on Facebook or Instagram with suggested text. This is equally important because we have been taking oaths and making pledges of stopping people for littering or spitting for years, however practically nobody actually did. So now people need to realize that “pointing-out” and stopping has actually started.
